XDC Network Enters Three-year Strategic Partnership With D.C.United

D.C. United announced a three-year agreement with XDC Network, a blockchain technology provider. It’s the first time an American major sports club has partnered with a blockchain network.

Together, they will provide D.C. United fans with privileged access and experiences. In 2022, the club will debut XDC Network on the front of both home and away jerseys and training tops.

The new collaboration promises to offer an unparalleled fan experience for a professional sports club. It will also expose D.C. United community to a unique ‘Fan Token’ program that rewards fan loyalty with exclusive events and exclusive access.

An amazing video platform allows users to discover blockchain technology and interact with NFTs on the XDC Network.

More details about this initiative and how fans may participate will be released soon.

Executive Director of XDC Foundation Billy Sebell said:

<blockquote> “It’s one thing to build this technology. It’s another thing, however, to see it being used throughout mainstream markets and by recognizable legacy brands.

This partnership is about bringing the value of blockchain to D.C. United fanbase to elevate their experience, drive deeper engagement, and connect the growing crypto ecosystem to the club.” <blockquote>

XDC Network also provides developers and content creators easy access to interact with the ecosystem and tokenize a wide range of assets through smart contracts.

Furthermore, the XDC Network’s low ‘gas’ costs, fast transaction speeds, and near-carbon neutral environment make it one of the most competitive and energy-efficient blockchain ecosystems available.

Allied Sports was pivotal in brokering the collaboration between D.C. United and the XDC Network.

The new Black-and-Red kit with the XDC Network logo embellished across the front of the shirt is available for purchase on www.mlsstore.com and at D.C. United Club Shop, located at Audi Field.
